The bathroom is no longer simply a functional space. For many homeowners, it has become a place to unwind, recharge and indulge in thoughtful design. There is no doubt that the right details can make all the difference — and TOTO’s new G Selection Curated Faucet Models bring Japanese craftsmanship into the contemporary home with five distinctive design collections.
Launched in Singapore under the theme “Visible Form, Invisible Truth”, the collection takes inspiration from traditional Japanese elements including Kumiki woodworking, the Sakaki tree, Bonshō temple bells, the Katana and Torii gates. Each reference has been translated into a unique faucet design, creating a collection that blends heritage, artistry and modern functionality.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to luxury, G Selection offers five different design expressions, allowing homeowners to choose a style that feels right for their space, whether that means understated and sculptural, sleek and precise, or bold and architectural, the choice is theirs.
Five Designs, Five Ways to Express Your Style
Each collection has its own personality. GK – Kumiki celebrates precision and seamless craftsmanship, while GN – Sakaki takes inspiration from the harmony between nature and people. GC – Bonshō brings a softer, sculptural quality inspired by the tranquillity of temple bells.
For homeowners who prefer a sharper, more contemporary look for their bathrooms, GE – Katana reflects the precision and discipline of the Japanese sword. Meanwhile, GM – Torii draws on the bold architectural presence of the traditional Japanese gateway.
Together, the five collections offer homeowners greater freedom to choose a look that complements their personal taste and the character of their space.
An Evening Inspired by Japanese Tradition
The Singapore launch brought the philosophy behind the collection to life with a series of traditional Japanese experiences. Guests witnessed a Kagami Biraki ceremony, followed by a Maguro Kaitai tuna-cutting performance showcasing Japanese precision and technique. A personalised Omamori experience also gave guests the opportunity to create their own good-luck charm.
More Than What Meets the Eye
At the heart of G Selection is the idea that good design is about more than appearance. Behind every curve, line and detail lies craftsmanship, intention and meaning — bringing a little of Japan’s thoughtful approach to design into everyday living.
