5 Easy Ways to Spring-Clean your Living Room

Is there really a way around spending hours and hours on a massive season al spruce-up? Here are 5 quick but thorough tested cleaning tips that will make your living room sparkle in no time.

1. Carpets And Upholstery

When using any cleaner, always practice in an unobtrusive area first to make sure that the treatment will not discolor the fabrics or cause dyes to run. Move furniture slightly to make space, and protect them by placing small pieces of wax paper beneath the furniture legs.

2. Ceiling And Light Fixtures

Remove dust and dirt from ceiling fans and air-conditioner vents with a damp cloth and a vacuum with a soft nozzle attachment. If your home has skylights or high ceilings, consider investing in a step ladder and extended-reach dust-and-dirt removal tools.

3. Make Your Windows Sparkle

Using an old spray bottle, mix together 1teaspoon of window cleaning liquid, half a teacup of white vinegar and two teacups of warm water. Spray this solution on to your windows and use a soft, dust-free rag to wipe clean.

4. Freshen Up Your Curtains

With a steamer and stool, work the curtains from bottom to top by gliding the steamer over the curtains in one-foot sections, placing the nozzle about an inch away from the fabric. Unless your curtains are unusually thick, you’ll only need to steam it once.

5. Keep Your Tabletops Clean And Clear

Start by removing everything on the table and wiping it down. Purchase or make your own boxes and shelves to keep things organized. You’ll see the difference it makes!
